Yellow Umbrella

Another stormy day outside of Maria Anne’s Hotel, another umbrella added to the stand, all of them to be collected by their owners when it’s time to go home.

That is, all except one unlucky little umbrella who stays behind.

For this little yellow umbrella, after four months in a dirty old hotel, watching everyone else come and go, home is a distant memory. It looks like he’s here for good—but with all the hustle and bustle and constant change, he knows this hotel will never really feel like home.

And then, finally, it’s the yellow umbrella’s turn! But after leaving the relative safety of the umbrella stand for the surrounding chaos, the yellow umbrella embarks on an all-new high-speed adventure . . . and ends up making a journey he never expected.

From the back of a taxi to a child’s playroom—and eventually to a very familiar fifth-grade classroom—the yellow umbrella is taken to place after place, bouncing between new friends and obstacles, until finally learning what it really means to be home.
