One day, the Drawings wake from their deathly slumber and are forced to wander the world without a home.

Until they find a new home…one filled with humans. And one thing’s for certain: these people are not used to having Drawings in their city.

Despite their differences and the challenges they face, Erick, Lexi, and the other Drawings settle into their new world. They even get comfortable with the systems of transportation. But when an innocent scavenger hunt leads to an abrupt journey out of town, they find themselves somewhere they least expected…and no one knows how this journey will end.

To the police, the Drawings are a new threat. To reporters, they’re interesting subjects. To each other, they’re the only other beings who understand where they’re really from. Will anyone ever call them “friend”—or are they destined to be strangers in this world forever?
